The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) is a comprehensive, nationally recognised course designed for workplaces where a fully qualified first aider is a legal requirement. Delivered over three days, this course provides learners with the knowledge and practical skills needed to manage a wide range of medical and trauma emergencies confidently and effectively.

Whether you work in a high-risk environment such as construction, manufacturing, warehousing, or education, this course ensures your team meets Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines and keeps your workplace compliant.

Course Duration: 3 days (18 contact hours)

Certification Validity: 3 years

Locations: Available for on-site delivery across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire, and neighbouring areas including Preston, Burnley, Manchester, Rochdale, Bury and Leeds.

This blended course includes both theory and practical scenarios, covering critical topics such as:

• Managing an unresponsive casualty

• CPR and use of an AED

• Managing bleeding, shock and burns

• Fractures, sprains, and spinal injuries

• Heart attacks, strokes, seizures, and more

Recognition and Management of illness and Injury in the Workplace

• Conducting a Secondary Survey
• Providing first aid to a casualty with:
  • Suspected injuries to bones, muscles and joints
  • Suspected head and spinal injuries
  • Suspected chest injuries
  • Burns and scalds
  • An eye injury
  • Sudden poisoning
