The Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for individuals across all sectors who need to understand the basic principles of manual handling as part of their role.
Ideal for new starters or as a refresher for existing staff, this theory-based course helps employers meet their legal obligations under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992, supporting both compliance and workforce safety.

This half-day qualification focuses on the essential theory of safe manual handling. Learners will gain an understanding of:
- The legal responsibilities of employers and employees regarding manual handling
- Common injuries and how they occur
- The anatomy of the spine and risk factors
- Risk assessment processes for manual handling tasks
- Techniques for reducing manual handling risks in the workplace
