Course Overview

This hands-on, scenario-led course equips learners with the confidence and skills to effectively respond to life-threatening emergencies involving cardiac arrest or anaphylaxis in adult patients. Key areas covered include:

• Recognising the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis
• Administering adrenaline using auto-injectors and understanding dosage
• Providing adult CPR in line with Resuscitation Council UK guidelines
• Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Placing the casualty in the recovery position
• Monitoring vital signs and escalation procedures
• Reporting, recording and debriefing in clinical environments
