Emergencies involving cardiac arrest or severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) can happen at any time — and across all age groups. The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Basic Life Support, Automated External Defibrillation (AED) and Management of Anaphylaxis for Adults, Children and Infants (RQF) provides the knowledge and practical skills to respond quickly and effectively to life-threatening situations involving both adults and younger individuals.

What the Course Covers

This 1-day course (minimum 6 guided learning hours) equips learners with the skills to:

• Recognise and respond to anaphylaxis in people of all ages

• Perform CPR on adults, children, and infants

• Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively

• Administer adrenaline via auto-injector (e.g. EpiPen)

• Understand emergency protocols and secondary care actions

• Record and report incidents in line with legal and professional standards

Training is practical, scenario-led, and delivered by professionals with real-world experience in emergency response.
