Course Overview

This regulated qualification covers the core content of both the Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work and Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid courses. It’s perfect for those working in settings where responsibilities span across adult and child care, and where a single certification can streamline training schedules without compromising on content.

By the end of the course, learners will have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to provide effective first aid in a range of emergency situations, including choking, bleeding, burns, unconsciousness, shock, and CPR, whether the casualty is an adult, child, or infant.

Course Content Includes:

Adult First Aid 

• Roles and responsibilities of a workplace first aider

• Managing an unresponsive adult (CPR and AED)

• Dealing with choking, wounds, bleeding and shock

• Seizures, burns and minor injuries

Paediatric First Aid 

• Managing an unresponsive child or infant

• Paediatric CPR and use of AED

• Choking in children and infants

• Febrile convulsions

• External bleeding and shock in children

• Common illnesses and allergic reactions

• Roles and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider
